General Information & Contact Information
The Global Metacognition Institute is run by Adam Godwin (MA) who operates as a Sole Trader based in the UK. This is not a VAT registered business. You can contact him using the form in the 'Contact Us' section of this site or directly via - if you would like to communicate via postal mail, just email Adam and you will be provided with the postal address at which he is registered as a Sole Trader. This is necessary since his postal address changes fairly frequently! It should be noted that Adam Godwin is often outside of the country, away from his registered postal address, and consequently postal mail is a slower and less efficient way to correspond with him: email is preferred and, when contacting him digitally, you will normally get a reply within twenty-four hours. We encourage as much communication as possible to be paperless as a part of our drive to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible: where physical mail is required, such as in the case of legal correspondence, a postal address will be provided in timely fashion: just email us and ask.

Refunds & Returns
We Do Not Offer Refunds
All digital product sales & membership plan purchases are final and no refunds are available: this is due to the 'digital download' nature of our products and is a measure to prevent the theft of our copyrighted materials.
Membership plan subscriptions can be cancelled by the subscriber thus preventing future renewal: but subscription payments will not be refunded under any circumstances. This is clearly stated during the Membership Plan sign-up process and is not negotiable.
In case of minor quality issues (such as spelling mistakes or grammatical errors) we will always strive to fix such mistakes in a timely fashion: such issues will not be accepted as a grounds for a refund. Please let us know of any such mistakes and we will be happy to fix them.
As a buyer, it is your responsibility to determine that you have the appropriate hardware/software to make use of digital files and that the file format is appropriate for your needs. For example, almost all our resources require Microsoft Office (Word and/or PowerPoint) and some require software to read and print .pdf files. Larger .zip files need to be extracted using freely available compression software such as WinRar or 7-Zip. Likewise, buyers are responsible for ensuring they have the required printing facilities to make use of our products: this is especially pertinent when buying printable workbooks. No refunds are available in these cases.
The Global Metacognition Institute may, in its sole discretion, make certain exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis, for example if a digital file is seriously defective and the defect cannot be repaired. In cases where a digital file is defective: we will always strive to remedy the situation and ensure functioning resources are offered as a replacement in a timely fashion.
